About Me

Andy Wright recently finished studying this past fall 2019 at the Berklee College of Music and received a Bachelor's Degree in Contemporary Writing and Production. An avid musician and guitarist, Wright has performed in three different rock bands, as well as a variety of music ensembles at numerous venues including The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, OH. Some of his work within the last six years can be found on iTunes where Andy performs rhythm guitar and background vocals for Jack’s Mom, a 2016 and 2017 finalist for the RockErie Music Awards (REMA) in the Alternative rock band category. Prior to Berklee, Andy studied guitar for eight years under Eric Brewer, one of 10 master guitarists invited to compete in the 2008 Guitar Superstar competition hosted by Guitar Player magazine in San Francisco, CA. Wright has received a number of music awards, including a $10,000 annual Berklee Writing and Composition scholarship. In addition to Andy's interest in music, he's demonstrated proficiency for creative writing as evidenced by the publication of “Deliver Him From Evil – The Birth And Death Of Addiction” in the May 2017 issue of Fusion, Berklee’s global arts magazine. More recently, Andy participated in the 2018 Rock/Pop Guitar Night as the only solo and assigned female at birth act in the show. Though Wright finds inspiration for songwriting in the everyday world, other musical influences include: Abby Aronson, Amy Bellamy, Daughter, Halestorm, Tigran Hamasyan, Jimi Hendrix, Bon Iver, Paramore, Eric Brewer, Lauren Paserelli, Pink Floyd, Seether, John Shafer, Silverstein, Slash, Sorority Noise, Kaki King, Yasmin Williams, and Yvette Young.
